Owl::Post

I retired my purse/bag a while ago but had trouble finding one that I liked (picky). I ended up finding the perfect bag in a store that I absolutely despise..I have no idea why I went in there. So I had to remove the large label on the front and replaced it with this sweet patch my mom wore in the early 70's and did a little embroidering just for fun.

You can guess how excited I was when I was asked to verify this code!
What are the odds? What a lovely word...

I found this interesting little postscript error as my dock one morning.
So much for identifying icons.

This little book has been sitting on my dinning room table for a while.
I don't know who's it is. I find it very lovely.

So my dad and I went parasailing and I gave my camera to some lady on the boat to take a picture of us while we were up.
This is the picture she took. Brilliant!

Egg Nog Tradition

It is that time of year. When the air turns crisp and little bits of snow float around in the wind. It's the beginning of the holiday season and the Egg Nog trickles onto the grocery store shelves. That's when my dear friend Trevor and I venture out into the cold to get our annual carton of deliciousness. We take a sip of the thick goodness and it all comes back....

it's all coming back, coming back to me now. There were moments of gold and there were flashes of light.

Notes about Nothing

For my Publication Design Class I am creating a book on a collection of the notes passed during grade school (or church or anywhere really) and the stories revolving around them. I was wondering if you would be able to take some time out of your busy schedule to help me out with this project.

First, did you ever pass notes? Go back to that time and remember what it was like....

Did you ever get caught? If so, I want to know the whole story, please spill..

How secret were your notes? Did you have code names and secret hiding spots? How did it work exactly?

What were the conversations like in these notes?

If you think of any other anecdotes that happened during your note passing day’s I would love to hear about them!

***Another major thing *** I would like to ask if you’ve kept any notes? And if you would be willing to let me borrow them? All I would do is scan them in and give them back, don’t worry I’ll be very gentle. Hey, and if your embarrassed to let me read them ask yourself this question, “Why did I keep these folded up pieces of paper for X# of years in a dusty box or drawer?” The answer is “Because Sami needs them and wants to love them at their full potential.” I am even willing to come get them.

Please e-mail me back with some grand tales, or if you have any questions.

Thank you so much. This will be oh so much fun.

Tally the Votes

On my drive home from my parents house I thought it would be interesting to count how many Obama and McCain signs I could see from the highway. I'm surprised at how small the number is for the 30 some mile stretch of road. It could mean nothing. It could mean something. I guess we'll see.

holding hands::hands holding

Some fam negatives I scanned in a while back.

Note::Gems

Take a closer look at these notes. Actually read them they are priceless. ^This one is the first time I was "asked out." Goodness!

^ I don't even know why I have this note. I am neither sara nor jenna... it's super bitchy and a great read.

^We had secret code names incase our notes got into the wrong hands. My dear friend abby had many names, I think her previous name was Shooting Star. Mine was always Sugar.

This note creeps me out. I have no idea who wrote it or what my "threat" was. I feel like the a teen again W/B
